This
past year was a very good year for us at Hartford Dojo. During the
summer months we had our friend Josef Manuel of Cutting Edge Jiu
Jitsu visit us. Josef presented two workshops full of great
techniques and training drills. In September our brother, US Army
Captain Jorge Rodriguez returned home from military service in
Iraq. Welcome back Jorge!!
October
gave us a visit from Ryron Gracie. Ryron presented three seminars
that were attended by our BJJ friends from New Hampshire,
Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Connecticut. During his October
visit Ryron promoted our brother Nathan " Nate" Swaim to
blue belt. Congratulations Nate!!
October also brought
with it some challenges as I underwent some major surgery. Thanks
to all of you for being so understanding and supportive during my
illness and recovery. Special thanks go out to Jimmy Fontanez and
Abel Mendez for keeping the dojo open.
November
saw Hartford Dojo travel to Queens, NY for the New York State_.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation Tournament. Hartford Dojo was very
well represented by: Joe Santangelo, Jimmy Fontanez, Mario
Santiago, and Abel Mendez. God willing 2006 will bring Hartford
Dojo:
The
return of H.l.T. training & Goju Ryu Karate New mats by
Resilite
Seminar
with Gracie Academy Black Belt BJJ workshops with guest
instructors NAGA Tournament (Summer '06) NYSBJJF Tournament

I
want to extend my thanks to all of you who continue to support
Hartford Dojo. Together we will continue to make Hartford Dojo a
very special and unique place to train martial arts. HAPPY NEW
YEAR 2006!! |
